FRENCH POLYNESIA: EMERGENCY LANDING FOR AN AIR FRANCE BOEING 747

PAPEETE, A burning odor in the cabin forced an Air France Boeing 747 en route from Papeete to Paris to return to Tahiti's airport to make an emergency landing. The plane was carrying 347 people, no one was injured but several shaken passengers were treated by medical personnel. The plane will be grounded until the investigation will determine the cause of the accident.
