QATAR COURT SENTENCED HIJACKER TO SPEND 5 YEARS IN JAIL

QATAR, Qatar Court sentenced the hijacker of a Qatar Airways Airbus, at the end of a summary trial, to spend five years in jail. Adel Fahd Jahid hijacked the flight Doha-Amman last September 14 forcing the plane to land at saudi airport of Hael, 700 km north of Ryad, where the iraqi man surrendered to police. The arab government later extradited the hijacker to Qatar.
