Unfreezed the sale of 3 Airbus to Iran
Teheran, Iran - Avoided the US embargo which had barred the delivery of the engines
Three new Airbus A-330s will be sold to Iran by the end of 2003. The sale was unfreezed by replacing US-made engines, because of the economic embargo. Engines made by Pratt&Whitney and General Electric will be replaced with Rolls Royce ones, and their components "made in USA" will be reduced from 13 to 10%. (004)
