New Boeing for Japan Airlines

Tokyo, Japan - Two 747-400s and five 777s

The "Empire of the rising sun" carrier Japan Airlines has announced to have ordered two 747-400Fs and to have converted orders for five 777-200s into orders for three 777-300s and two 777-200s. The dash 300s will replace three 747-100SRs that JAL intends to retire during FY03. The 747-400Fs will begin to arrive in FY04 and will replace 747-200Fs currently being operated.
