KLM-Air France: merger no thanks, commercial alliance yes please

Amsterdam, The Netherlands - KLM CEO said

Leo van Wijk, chief executive officer at Royal Dutch Airlines NV, stated that the ongoing KLM-Air France talks aim to a commercial alliance with the French group, and not to a merger or a joint venture. Van Wijk called joining the SkyTeam alliance "an attractive option" and said the company is now in talks on the conditions for joining and the role for KLM in such an alliance. (007)
