Moving assembly for 757
Seattle, Usa - The new moving line method will significantly reduce delivery times
The Boeing Company began assembling 757s on a moving assembly line this week in Renton, Washington. The moving line method, thanks to the continuous 24ft-per-day (about 8 meters) movement, will allow to the 100tons jetliner to reach the final assembly stage with an improved quality and efficiency reducing delivery times of about 30%.
