Washington, Usa - U.S. Defense Secretary backs covered clandestine missions
The U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld proposed the use of special forces abroad, also without informing the local government, in order to obtain a major effectiveness for the struggle against terrorism. Some U.S administration officials said this kind of operations may interfere with the Cia's role. The final decision will be taken by President George W. Bush. (004)
