Continental: net loss of USD 35m

Houston, Usa - A better result compared to the first call for second quarter

Continental Airlines, the fifth largest Us carrier, reported a second quarter net loss of USD 35m (USD 0.55 diluted loss per share), which compares favorably to the First Call estimate of USD 0.76 loss per share. Although April and May were unprofitable, the company recorded a modest net income of USD 16m for the month of June, excluding those items. (004)
