Siberia: a Tupolev Tu-134 lost its forward undercarriage while landing

Moscow, Russia - None of the passengers got injured

A Krasair Tupolev Tu-134 with 79 people aboard lost its forward undercarriage as it was landing at the Irkutsk airport, in Siberia. The flames burst from the contact between the aircraft nose and the runway were promptly extinguished by the well-timed intervention of the airport's fire fighters. Fortunately, none of the passengers got injured in the incident. (007)
