SINGAPORE COULD BUY OVER USD1BN IN 747-400 FREIGHTERS

SINGAPORE, Singapore Airlines (SIA) could buy Boeing 747-400 freighter planes in a deal worth about USD$1 billion in the biggest order for the plane so far this year. This could be a sort of consolation prize for Boeing after SIA last month has decided to buy many of A3XX Airbus Industries mega passenger jetliners instead of a stretch version of the Boeing 747.
