Swiss to introduce new security measures
Zurich, Switzerland - It has started to install armoured doors and videocamaras on board
Swiss, Swissair's successor, started to install armoured doors between the cockpit and the cabin and videocamaras on board. The air carrier affirmed that almost the half of its 26 long-haul aircraft have been already supplied with this new equipment which cost CHF 140,000 (EUR 95,000). These security measures have been required by FAA for all aircraft bound to US after April 9, 2003. (004)
