Aircraft phone installation plan defined "too complicated"

Transport security officials in the US said today that they would not pursue the idea of giving airline passengers an emergency toll free phone facility onboard planes as it was too complicated. An earlier report said that the Transport Security Administration was considering the idea of having an emergency 911 number as part of new security proposals. (Gio/B)
