Taiwan: direct links with China to establish
Taipei, Taiwan - The opposition's proposal
Forty opposition members of Taiwanese Parliament signed a motion to repeal the law which prevents from establishing direct air and sea links with China. At present all fights or sea routes to Popular Republic pass through Hong Kong or Macao. Even if the bill passes, the government will keep the veto on this issue, considered as a national security matter. (004)
