Continental: USDm 187 loss in 1st quarter
Washington, Usa – Revenue falls by 18.7%
The Us air carrier Continental lost USDm187 in the 1st quarter 2002. Its revenue fell by 18.7%, notwithstanding 8.2% cut in expenses. Mr Gordon Bethune, the Continental’s chairman, affirmed that the negative trend is to be ascribed to fare reduction and to the decline in passengers. However, USDm 25 gross profits in March 2002 represented a turning point after September 11th , according to Mr Bethune....
