Qantas to offer discounted fares in May and June

Starting from a cost as low AUD77, Australian airline Qantas plans to make one and a half million discounted seats available in May and June. But Qantas warns that cheap fares will be offered on less traffic flights and routes. The move follows the arrival of five of 15 Boeing 737-800s and the introduction of six additional Boeing 717s over the next three months. (Gio/B)
