European commission decided on Sas-Spanair affair
Brussels, Belgium - Swedish airline to control 74% of Spanish carrier
European Commission gave its ok for the Sas to take control of Spanair capital majority. The Swedish carrier will thus pass from a 49% to a 74% ownership of the second Spanish airline. According to the Commission the new marriage will not negatively affect competition in European air transport market as it can't create a dominant position. (m/cesn)
