Ready in 2004 first antimissile missile prototype
USA - Space Shield project goes ahead
The Space Shield project, which is so appreciated by president Bush and U.S. defense industries, is going ahead, despite opposition about its stratospheric cost. In fact the cost involved, until 2015, could reach 64 USDbn. The first antimisisle missile prototype would be ready for 2004, followed by series production that initially will be installed in Alaska's Fort Greely sites. (Gio/B)
