THREE MARINES INJURED AT KANDAHAR AIRPORT
KANDAHAR, Three marines were wounded by a land mine yesterday, one of them seriously, at Kandahar airport while they were clearing an airport building of mines, booby traps and unexploded ordnance, a Marine spokesman said. One of the three marines lost his leg below the knee when he stepped on the mine.
