RYANAIR DEFIES LUFTHANSA IN GERMANY
FRANKFURT, Ryanair announced that Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is to become its second base in continental Europe. Michael O'Leary, ceo for the low-cost carrier, said that from February Ryanair will operate more than 30 daily flights from Frankfurt, to UK, Italy, France, Norway and Ireland. O'Leary added that 200 new jobs are to be created and fares will be at least 80% cheaper than Lufthansa's prices.
