RUSSIAN CARRIER MIGHT ESCORT PASSENGER FLIGHTS WITH ARMED POLICE OFFICERS
MOSCOW, The head of the Moscow city department of the Russian Transport Police said yesterday that armed police officers might be placed on passenger flights, as it was already used in the Soviet Union in the 70s. Some carriers, especially those operating flights to Turkey and United Arab Emirates, have filed a request for armed escort on their planes.
