TWA AIRCRAFT ABORTS TAKEOFF FOR CO-PILOT'S SIDE UNLATCHED
WASHINGTON, A Twa jetliner aborted takeoff at Kennedy Airport after the pilot noticed that co-pilot's side had been left unlatched. The Boeing 767, bound for St. Louis with 233 people aboard, blew six of its ten tires as it came to a halt on the runway. No injures were reported. Passengers were evacuated by emergency stairs.
