AIR NEW ZEALAND'S CEO RESIGNS
NEW ZEALAND, Air New Zealand President and CEO Gary Toomey yesterday resigned, the airline announced. Jim Farmer, the acting chairman for the carrier said the ceo's resignation was a sad loss even though the company stood in a different position from when he was appointed early this year. Air New Zealand also said it is to cut 10% of oversea flights and shed at least 800 workers.
