BRAZILIAN CARRIERS RAISE DOMESTIC FARES

BRAZIL, Brazilian Varig and TAM increased domestic fares due to rising fuel prices and a strong US dollar. Varig applied a 3% rise, TAM increased fares by 2,97%. Brazilian airlines yesterday began charging an additional insurance and security tax of $5 for international flights.
