US AIRWAYS TO FURLOUGH 1100 PILOTS

USA, La US Airways is planning to lay off about 1100 pilots. The airline also said it will eliminate a quarter of its fleet, 11 planes. The layoff of pilots is not expected to occur until December and would be phased in over four months.
