NORTHWEST AIRLINES COULD ANNOUNCE LAYOFFS TODAY
CHICAGO, Northwest Airlines would announce the number of job lay-offs today, an unofficial source reported. In addition, the carrier is expected to reduce flight operations by 20% from October 1. The Detroit Free Press said that the airline would plan to lay off about 10.000 workers.
