SWISSAIR TO CUT 1250 JOBS

ZURICH, Swissair, which reported a first half net loss of 234m Swiss francs, has announced that it is to cut 1250 jobs through restructuring its network and fleet composition at Swissair and its regional Crossair subsidiary. The group will also put up for sale stakes in Swissport and Nuance Group, two companies running airport activities.
