TRANSBRASIL RETOOLS OPERATIONS
SAO PAULO, Brazilian Transbrasil said it is to lay off about a third of its staff and sell three aircrafts in an effort to turn around its ailing business. The airline also plans to move its base of operations to Sao Paulo's domestic Congonhas airport "because we believe the passengers are there", Transbrasil's president said.
