ROLLS-ROYCE: 1H PROFITS ABOVE ANALISTS' EXPECTATIONS
LONDON, Rolls-Royce posted interim profits that were above analysts' expectations despite a £5 million drop to £190 million in the first half of 2001. The company reassured the market by reiterating that it forecasts a resumption in earnings growth in 2002. Chief executive John Rose said that the company has been hardly affected by order cancellations.
