AMR ANNOUNCES NOTICEABLE LOSSES IN 2Q2001
USA, According to an AMR spokesman, the U.S. company which owns American Airlines and TWA Airlines, the second quarter of 2001 carried net losses for about 105 USDm, say 0,68 USD per share, compared to 285 USDm net income. Causes of the losses, according to the spokesman, are to be searched in continuing weakness in the U.S. economy and high fuel prices.
