AEROFLOT BACKS IN BLACK
MOSCOW, Russian state-airline Aeroflot finally returned to the black reporting net income of $8.6m for 2000, having a breath after scoring losses for $59.6m in 1999. A rise in revenues and a sharp reduction in taxes helped the positive results, which came up after a group of Russian shareholders imposed their influence on the company by acquiring a significant minority stake in the airline.
