FIRE IN THE SCHIPHOL RAIL TUNNEL, THOUSAND PASSENGERS EVACUATED
SCHIPHOL, THE NETHERLANDS, A fire in the rail tunnel, 4.3 mile long, which connects the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport forced the evacuation of more than a thousand passengers who were travelling on the trains to and from airport. No one was injured but some people missed their flights; fire, however, disrupted train service for several hours.
