NORTWEST AIRLINES ORDERS 76 CRJ440 REGIONAL JET ENGINED BY GE

CANADA, U.S. airline Northwest Airlines ordered 75 CRJ440 regional airliners manufactured by Canadian industry Bombardier. The news has been diffused by General Electric, which has informed that the oredered aircrafts will be powered by its GE CF34-3B1s in an engine order valued at more than USD$300 million. Delivery is scheduled to begin in July 2002.
