Santiago, Chile - As a part of the purchase of 18 fighters

On the strenght of "Prinsjesdagbrief 2003" measures, which aim at Defense costs reduction, 137 Royal Netherlands Air Force F-16s will decrease to 108 through their sale to foreign Countries. Chile purchased 18 of these fighters and the first 4 aircraft will leave Twenthe base next Monday to arrive in the South-American Country on September 8, after technical stopovers in Canaries and Brazil.
