B-737 NG is the favourite plane of low-cost airlines

Seattle, USA - It represents 80% of fleets of the first 20 world low-fare carriers

Considering recent orders by Ryanair and SkyEurope (see AVIONEWS 1 and 2), Boeing 737 Next Generation remains the favourite plane of the main low-cost airlines all over the world: about 80% of fleets of the first 20 low-fare carriers is made up of this kind of aircraft, with a total number of orders of 3200 units by 97 operators (1200 of which are still to be delivered, for a value of USD 85bn).
