Tibet: a new airport in Nyingchi
Lhasa, China - Operative from July, it will be the third in the region

In July the Chinese Government is opening a new airport in Nyingchi, a city in South-Eastern Tibet on the border with Myanmar. The air station will be managed by an Air China subsidiary company, which will operate with Boeing 757s to and from Chengdu, South-Western China. The airports existing in the Tibetan region until now has been two, in the Capital, Lhasa, and in Chamdo Bangda.
