Varig public sale in 3 days
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Delayed at the istance of investors
The first public sale of Varig, Brazilian flag airline, will take place June 8 (see AVIONEWS for details). Potential investors asked for a 3-day delay on the previously scheduled day, in order to study the carrier’s situation, which is on the edge of bankruptcy, and propose an adequate offer. Six companies, which have remained anonymous, have been interested in the purchase until now.
