"Solar Impulse": the solar-powered airplane

"Solar Impulse" is the name of an airplane which flies thanks to solar energy only. Its inventor, Swiss Bertrand Piccard who was the first man circumnavigating the world in aerostatic balloon without stopover in 1999, has just made the first virtual flight of the futuristic device: a first step towards the prototype building, expected this year, and the first real flight, which should happen in 2008....
