Baghdad, Iraq - For maintenance and not security reasons
The spokesman of Iraqi Transport Ministry, Ahmad Abdelwahab, declared yesterday that Baghdad International Airport was closed for maintenance operations and that it won’t be re-opened before two days. The spokesman specified that the enclosure has nothing to do with possible security reasons, despite maximum surveillance in Iraq in occasion of Ashura, the most important Shiite religious feast.
