Unexpected strike of Cyprus Airways' pilots

About 2700 people remained grounded on last Saturday because of the unexpected strike of Cyprus Airways’ pilots against the carrier’s restructuring plan, which forecasts to save EUR 37.9 million every year. Pilots’ union, which on January signed an agreement with the airline, accused the carrier of backtracking on an agreement over salaries. 17 flights were cancelled because of the strike.
