UNITED AIRLINES TO ORDER NEW AIRBUS AIRCRAFT

FRANCE, United Airlines placed a firm order for 12 new Airbus aircraft, six A319 and six A320, exercising options from its 1998 purchase agreement. Deliveries are slated for 2002.
