Northwest Airlines has more time to find a deal with trade unions

Chicago, USA - The carrier needs USD 1.4 billion to survive

Federal judge Gropper, who is working on the Northwest Airlines’ bankrupt procedure, gave other seven days to the carrier to find a consensual deal with unions representing its pilot and ground staff. The airline made known that to survive in this industry it needs USD 1.4 billion, but trade unions said that there were not significant progress on key issue.
