NEW SHUTTLE NOZZLE DEVELOPMENT ASSIGNED TO AEROJET
SACRAMENTO, USA, U.S. aerospace research and development company Aerojet won a USD5m contract from NASA to study the feasibility of developing a channel wall nozzle to replace the tube nozzle in the Space Shuttle engine. The new system will incorporate also a new cooling system utilizing microchannels, and will use fewer parts, with a lower cost and more reliability.
