Turkish Airlines: the carrier is the first European airline for growth capability
Istanbul, Turkey - It carried more than 11m passengers in 2005
Turkish Airlines reported the strongest growth percentage among all the European airlines in 2005. It carried some 11.61m passengers this year by an increase, compared to last year, of +20.9%. Second in this special list set by European association of airlines, was achieved in Spain (+17.2%), followed by Ireland (+14.6%). Turkish, in terms of total number of carried passengers, is 8th.
