Reasons which led to tensions between Alitalia and Aeroflot have been recently explained by ENAC (Italian National Civil Aviation Agency) Vito Riggio (see for details AVIONEWS). The Italian carrier, on the basis of an agreement with Russian airline, had sent a request to rise frequencies but Russia did not prove willing about it.
