Job cuts in London airports managed by BAA
London, United Kingdom - It is necessary to save GBP 45m a year
BAA, London airports operator, has decided to cut 700 jobs in the air stations of Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted to save GBP 45m a year. The measure has immediately raised the protests of union trades angry at not being consulted by the airport company. The job cuts should affect the management staff and back office positions and not security personnel.
