A 57 YEAR-OLD WOMAN BREAKS SOLO FLIGHT RECORD
LONDON, GREAT BRITAIN, Polly Vacher, a 57 year-old former music teacher, entered into the record books by becoming the first woman to fly solo around the world via Australia and the Pacific in a single-engined Piper Dakota. Mrs Vacher touched down at Birmingham International Airport, escorted by two RAF Harrier jets, following a four-month journey around the globe.
