IATA. Bisignani: airlines to run up USD 7.4bn worth losses in 2005
Washington, USA - "Oil prevent carrier from getting out of the red"
It seems that high-oil effects are about to cancel the possible revenues of IATA (International Air Transport Association) member airlines. The association General Director and CEO, Giovanni Bisignani, revealed it. Losses would amount to the shocking figure of USD 7,4bn only in 2005. "Yet again, oil is preventing industry from getting out of the red despite of the improvements of productivity".
