Philippe Pascal new CEO of Aéroports de Paris: French Parliament gives green light

Leaving his current position as CFO, he succeeds the outgoing Augustin de Romanet

The French Parliament has approved the appointment of Philippe Pascal as the new CEO of the Aéroports de Paris (AdP) Group, which operates Paris airports. The choice, strongly supported by President Emmanuel Macron, marks a major handover, with Pascal, currently the company's CFO, set to succeed Augustin de Romanet.

The newly elected 53-year-old has worked closely with the financial structures of AdP, a company in which the State holds a stake of more than 50%, and "has demonstrated expertise and strategic vision in leading the economic operations of one of Europe's leading airport operators", a statement said. His appointment was welcomed by several French institutional sources, who see him as the ideal figure to address the challenges of the sector and strengthen the competitiveness of Paris airports globally.

The new leadership comes in a context of renewal and modernization of the French airport sector, with the aim of increasing the sustainability and operational efficiency of airports, also in view of growing international competition. Reliable sources, including press releases from the French Government and analyses by industry experts, highlight how Pascal 's leadership could lead to significant improvements, particularly in the management of passenger flows and the integration of innovative technologies for air transport. With his financial experience and the support of institutions, he is called upon to lead the Group towards a new phase of growth and innovation, in line with the sustainability and competitiveness objectives set by the Government.
