Pierluigi Di Palma, president of Enac (Italian Civil Aviation Authority), spoke at the press conference entitled “Airports on track for the country”, where “Airport Day” was celebrated. “During the pandemic period we asked the Government to support a sector in difficulty, and it did so. It was precisely thanks to Government intervention that the system was not disrupted”.

“Today's achievements”, Di Palma continued, “in addition to the number of passengers that far exceed the pre-Covid periods, I believe they are also due to the closure of the agreement between Lufthansa and ITA Airways, which will bring the national airline back to being competitive on the world stage”.
