A press conference entitled “Airports on the runway for the Country” is being organised today in Rome on the occasion of “Airport Day”, a national event promoted by Assaeroporti. The initiative, spread across 17 airports in Italy, aims to tell about the central role of the airport system for the economic development and progress of the Italian country.
Taking part in the conference were Carlo Borgomeo, president of Assaeroporti; Pierluigi Di Palma, president of Enac (the Italian Civil Aviation Authority); Alessandra Ricci, managing director of Sace (an insurance-financial company specialising in supporting the competitiveness of Italian companies controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance); and Leopoldo Destro, delegate of the president of Confindustria for Transport.
After the speeches, the 17 airports throughout Italy, where various events took place on the occasion of “Airport Day”, were connected. The conclusions of the meeting were handed over to the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini.
